the green, richmond
listed contemporary glass extension
This listed eighteenth century Georgian House, is located on The Green in Richmond.
The house is spread over three stories, currently the kitchen for the property is located in the basement. The low ceiling and limited natural light this room not a good space for the kitchen.
As well as refurbishing the house, our approved project is to add a fully glazed rear extension to the rear of the property. Within this new extension will be a new kitchen and dining area with the basement rooms used as a family room and separate utility room.
The design of the new extension is to be a minimal glass structure, with fully opening glazed doors to the garden. The glazed roof is also designed so that where it attaches to the face of the building it won’t interfere with the original rear windows.
